The toilet area consists of a composting toilet, a piece of waterproof oil painting fabric supported by a sculptural structure and other elements, along with a few additional decorative touches.
Find My Walden
A draped textile work acts as a soft divider between the sleeping area and the cooking zone.
The sleeping space is semi-enclosed by a sculptural form and a stretch of canvas.
The bed, handcrafted and modular, can be moved and taken apart with ease.
A single candle hangs delicately from an adjacent sculpture.
Find My Walden
The cooking area is composed of metal sculptures, textile work, and found objects.
Find My Walden
Find My Walden is a site-specific installation constructed from my paintings, sculptures, and found objects, forming a temporary campsite.
It serves as a quiet act of rebellion against contemporary civilization and a reflection on the repetitive patterns of modern life. In this work, the art objects are stripped of their symbolic and aesthetic status—functioning instead through their physicality, as tools, shelters, or boundaries. The campsite becomes a space of retreat and self-invention, echoing Thoreau’s longing for simplicity, solitude, and resistance to conformity.
